Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the analysis of regularities of formation of superhard phases structural states in the B-C-Si system at high р, Т- parameters. The availability of high-pressure utilization to obtain a practically dense monophasic В4С ceramics with the bimodal structural type was shown for the first time. The method for making of the В4С ceramics characterized by heightened fracture toughness (КІС = 6.5 MPa . m1/2) possessing hardness HV10 = 41 GPa is designed. It was defined, that only use of the high-pressure in combination with considerable shift strains enables to form a special structural state with dissipative characteristics relative to primary fractures.
