Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of adjectival forms with the Passive meaning, which are used as non-categorial means of expressing the categoral meaning of the passive in the Modern German language. As a result of transformation of modal and passive predication into a notional structure of derivates the interaction of lexical and grammatical meaning both in the micro-structure of a word as well as in macro-structure of functional-semantic field of passive is traced. Owing to the possibility of suppressing and modifying semantic information, to provide different opportunities to use it in the communicative process the adjectival form under research have a peculiar place in lexical and grammatical system of the Modern German Language.
