Essay

The subject of investigation is propagation, damping, and excitation of potential surface waves. The aim of investigation is to study potential surface waves, propagating along a planar interface of plasma-like medium with a metal, at the presence of an external magnetic field perpendicular to the interface. In the frame of hydrodynamical description, the influence of normal magnetic field, dusty grains, dielectric layer and finite conductivity is considered. The nonlinear theory of parametric excitation, self-interaction, and interaction of surface waves is built.
