According to the conducted study of the structure and clinical-and-dynamic features of organic depressive disorder among elderly men improved standardized procedures of diagnostic and created approaches to the differentiated psychopharmacotherapy of such disorders using antidepressants of the last generations. There are revealed three type of organic depressive disorder: inhibited depression (37,9%); agitated depression (16,4%); anxious depression (45,7%). Elderly patients have higher level of somatic burdened and higher level of personal anxious. There are revealed potential of standard diagnostic scales for the diagnosis organic depressive disorder among elderly men. There are detected most informing items of HAM-D21, scale and than conducted correlation between HAM-D21 and GDS15 that allow to recommend GDS15 using in a geriatric clinics. Directly proved that because of type of tolerable most favourable antidepressants for trained category of patients are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and selective noradrenalin reuptake inhibitor.
