Essay

The object is the genre of diary, its specialities and functions in the context of artistic creation. The purpose is to analyze of diary as one of the forms of writer's self-expression. The methods: descriptive, contextual, biological, structural-naratological, historic-genetical, typological. The results: at first time Subjective and objective pre-conditions of diary writing - from the idea as a search of appropriate form to its embodiment are investigated, a diary is analyzed as one of "public" forms of confession in literature, аpproach to a di-ary from the point of view of the communicative intention of the author are also analyzed.
