Essay

The main characteristics of plasma streams, generated with powerful full-block quasi-steady-state plasma accelerator QSPA Kh-50, and features of plasma interaction with longitudinal magnetic field and targets surfaces have been experimentally investigated. Analysis of powerful plasma streams dynamics in the external longitudinal magnetic field is carried out. The main parameters of plasma shielding layers, which are formed near the target surface under powerful plasma streams irradiation, were determined by parameters of impact plasma, target size and the value of magnetic field. Such layers of cold plasma are essentially decreased the heat load on the target surface.
