Essay

The thesis is devoted to study of the colloid-chemical regularities of the gold flotation extraction by the bioflocculation and reverse cation flotation methods to increase the efficiency of fine disperse gold extraction and the production of purer gold-containing concentrates. The processes of the heterocoagulation between Bacillus cereus cells and gold, quartz, pyrite, galena particles have been investigated. It has been shown that an intake cell is a basic element determining the charge of being formed biomineral aggregate and selectivity in the interaction between a cell and different mineral components. The maximum effective process of flotation was revealed during the joint influence of cells and potassium butyl xanthogenate. The possibility of use of bioflocculation and reverse cation flotation while enriching depleted and fine ingrained gold-containing ores has been established. The mentioned processes are directed to the prevention of losses of fine disperse gold and the production of conditioned gold-containing concentrates. On the base of the found regularities the technological flowsheet for the flotation enrichment of gold-containing ores has been proposed.
