The thesis contains findings concerning the spread of Staphylococcus aureus carriage among medical personnel and medical students, who visit clinics; the peculiar biologycal properties of S.aureus, isolated from germ carriers, particularly the presence and marked character of persistence factors in them; the state of factors and mechanisms of non-specific and specific immune anti-infectious protection of the germ carriers organisms of the constant type; the use of the calendula and gum-tree tinctures as well as the "Biosporine" probiotic for the sanation of the germ carriers of Staphylococcus aureus of polyvalent medicinal Staphylococcal bacteriophage. It has been established that S.aureus carriage among students has epidemiological peculiarities, the formation of a carriage type depends upon a season of the year and the persistent factors of Staphylococci aureus and also the state of factors and mechanisms of non- specific and specific immune anti-infectious protection of germ carrier organism. The author shows the effective eliminating and immunomodulating action of the "Biosporine" probiotic and recommends it for the use in the sanation of the nasal carriers of S.aureus of the constant type.
