Essay

Correlation of “dancing” and “plastic” in the system of ballet synthesis is examined in the dissertation. These terms are treated as universal categories, acting not only as independent, having their own subject of research, but also as a dialectical pair, which makes it possible to examine the mechanism of “dancing” and “plastic” complex interaction in the context of compositions of different periods, national traditions, styles. It also helps to establish interaction of space-time, structural and dramaturgic patterns of the ballet genre. Analysis of many ballet music patterns of the XVII-XX centuries allows to conceive correlation specifics of traditions and innovation in the ballet genre, the role of “dancing” and “plastic” in this process, to define leading types of ballet performance, author’s personal contribution, to expand and enlarge the ballet creative work of such composers as J.-B. Lully, K.V.Glyuk, V.A.Mozart, L.Bethoven, A.Adan, L.Minkus, L.Delib, P.Tchaikovsky, S.Prokofiev.
