The complex theoretical-applied research of legal position of credit unions in Ukraine is conducted in thesis. The basic stages of becoming and development of credit unions and their associations are analyzed. A place and value of credit unions in the financial system of Ukraine is investigated.The special attention is spared to the organs of management of credit union, which carry out organizational, financially-economic and supervisory functions.
