Fedirko A. The role of innovations in the formation of competitive advantages of national economy.

Competitive economic relations between countries in the conditions of globalization of world markets. The complex analysis on the base of the newest economic conceptions of the essence and role of innovations in the provision of national competitiveness; the research of modern mechanisms of countries' competitive advantages formation on innovative basis, and the development of perspective directions for Ukrainian economy's innovative capability increase. Historical-logical and system-structural approaches, statistical qualitative and quantitative analysis, economic-mathematical modeling. The author's own interpretation of essence of the economic category of "competitiveness of national economy" has been offered. Modern researches of essence and determination of category of national innovative capability have been developed. The complex evaluation of innovative capability of domestic economy has been carried out. The methodical approaches to the evaluation of innovative component of foreign trade of Ukraine have been improved. The method of estimation of country's innovative capability level, adapted by the author for Ukraine, as well as recommendations on the improvement of R&D financing mechanisms in Ukraine have been implemented.
