Statnik I. Methods and ways of the improvement of pedigree and productive qualities of laying hens

Thesis is dedicated to the improvement of existent methods, ways and technologies of selection and the working-out of new ones for making better the important for laying chickens economic-and-profitable characteristics. It has been demonstrated the expediency of using the methods of " a rush of blood" for the increase of the egg weight in line birds. But so far as the different genetic material gave the dissimilar effect it is recommended when choosing improving lines to carry out the experimental crossing of them with lines which are necessary to improve. From cock-improvers under the homogeneous selection of males for them it is possible to obtain 48-60 % of sons with improving characteristics. It has been worked out and approbated the more effective system of reproduction of a selection flock using young birds and birds with the second productive period. It has been proved the possibility of optimization of the egg form by selection methods after the worked out technology.
