The object is a M.Atwood's novels. The aim is to analysis of poetics of M.Atwood's novels creativity in a context of socioccultural laws of development of modern English-Canadian literature. A methods are historycal-comparative, sociocultural analysis, conceptual analysis, comparative method.The dissertation focuses on M.Atwood's place in Canadian literature and world literature on the whole, and her peculiar contribution to the contemporary Canadian literature development concerning genre, poetological and style transformations against the background of Canadian, European and American literary traditions interaction. M.Atwood's novels peculiarity is analyzed. The main features of poetics, thematic and problematic specificity, image system, genre and the main character's peculiarities of her novels and the connection with literary feminism are determined as well. In the home literary studies the proposed investigation is the first attempt of M.Atwood's novels complex analysis. Sphere of use is a training courses.
