Alekseyenko O. Cytomorphological, morphometric and cytogenetic sings of mediastinal small-cell tumors

The object is mediastinal small-cell tumors of 103 patients; the aim is to find cytomorphological, morphometric and cytogenetic differential sings of mediastinal small-cell tumors; the methods are cytological, morphometric, cytogenetic and statistical methods; the new approach lies in ascertainment of semiotics of cytomorphological, morphometric and cytogenetic sings of mediastinal small-cell tumors, which improve their cytological differential diagnostics; the results include the increase cytological diagnostic efficacy of detection of mediastinal small-cell tumors by 93,4 % with the help of complex of their cytomorphological, morphometric and cytogenetic differential sings that have been found; all these results were applied in cytological department of Institute of oncology of Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine; the field is - Medicine.
