Essay

The dissertation is devoted research the Ukrainian polymetric verse. For the first time in Ukrainian studying of a verse on the basis of the system analysis its sources and tendencies of development are defined. It is carried out attempt to outline typology of polymetric designs in view of a genre belonging of a researched material. Dynamics of development this forms of a verse is traced from national folk song a polyrhythmic verse and book verse with different quantity of syllables to postmodernism type of a polymetric verse. The attention is stressed on intensity of change of the size and a metric dominant in structure of polymetric designs.
