Essay

Radiobiological effects observed in the irradiated cells and processes of DNA reparation. To study the most important radiobiological effects in the cells exposed to ionizing radiation. Methods of mathematical simulation. The following models were built: processes determining the shape of survival curves and allow to treat the phenomena of existence of potentially lethal and sublethal damages, processes of forming large one-thread damages and transformation of some simple one-thread damages of cellular DNA. The latter was used to determine the dependence of the number of one-thread cellular DNA ruptures on the time. Existence of dose-rate effect was proven. All above findings are new. Sphere of application: radiobiology, biophysics, nuclear medicine.
