Anoshkov V. Improving SS7 network quality characteristics

The task of improving of Signalling System №7 (SS7) network quality characteristics is solved in the dissertation. System analysis of SS7 network quality characteristics and influenced factors were carried out. It is shown, the main factor influenced to quality characteristics is SS7 network structure. Availability of signalling root sets for SS7 network structure with transit nodes were estimated. Methodic of definite availability of for SS7 network as an availability of part signalling root sets was designed. Methodic of definite signalling traffic intensity, taking into account an influence of supplementary services and asymmetry of information traffic, was improved. Probability characteristics of signalling traffic intensity were defined. Results of research were inculcated in stock company "Ukrtelecom" that confirmated by the act. Field of application is telecommunication networks.
