Essay

This Thesis is devoted to analyze the evolution of studying of Masonic organizations of Ukraine (1900-1920) in the works of Soviet and foreign historiography, modern Ukrainian and Russian scientists. The works, which are researched, consider the history of freemasonry within the territories that can be ethnographically regarded as Ukrainian. Studying the historiography sources the author tries to determine the main achievements and aspects, which need further investigations, and distinguishes the stages and the approaches in the studying of Ukrainian Freemasonry by native and foreign historians and defines their points of view. The thesis also comprises the unmasking of "Jew-Masonic conspiracy" conception and its connection with the political processes in Ukraine.
