Gremalyuk T. Phonetico-morphological structure of the word ending and peculiarities of its functioning in the German (diachronic study)

The postroot word structure, its changes in different periods of the German language existence: Old Upper German, Middle Upper German and New German. The aim is reveal tendencies in the evolution of postroot word structure. Methods: descriptive, comparative-historical, probabilistic-statistic, experimental-phonetic. For the first time there were investigated phonetic-morphological interaction in postroot structure of word forms, the peculiarities of this structure, its functioning and development in different periods of the German language existence. The features, characterizing the postroot development of new phonetic-morphological structure, were obtained. The results can be employed at practical lesson of German phonetics.
