Kyryliuk M. Prophylactic and treatment effect of mineral water "Zbruchanska" Sataniv health resort in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and impaired glucose tolerance

Dissertation is dedicated to improvement of complex treatment, rehabilitation and prophylaxis of diabetes mellitus (DM). Object: improvement of complex treatment, rehabilitation and prophylaxis of diabetes mellitus (DM). The work is aimed on estimating mineral water "Zbruchanska" Sataniv health resort for treatment and rehabilitation of patients with type 2 DM and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT). Methods and apparatus: clinical, biochemical, immunoenzymatic; biochemical analyzer "Stat Fax1904 Plus", gamma-counter "Beckman". Theoretical and practical results: the efficacy of resort therapy using the mineral water "Zbruchanska" depending on the stage of impaired carbohydrate metabolism was assessed; character of changes in regulatory systems in dynamics of resort treatment was examined and on this basis the methodical approach to the development of scientifically ground regimens of drinking treatment was determined. The new: It was demonstrated that the resort treatment using the mineral water "Zbruchanska" favours the optimization of functioning beta-cells with recovery of normalizing lipid and protein metabolism in some patients with type 2 DM and IGT of physiological profile of insulin secretory function, glucose tolerance and hemocoagulation and fibrinolysis.The level of approach: results can be used in treating the patients with type 2 DM and IGT and for training the specialists-endocrinologists.
