The object is a cultural - ontology contents of concept of western philosophical idea XX century "society of spectacle". The aims are the historical-philosophical reconstruction and ordering of the contents of concept of western philosophy of second half XX of century "society of spectacle". Methods - historical and logic, dialectic, hermeneutic, phenomenology, structuralism. The thesis is devoted to the research of historical-philosophical originality of concept "society of spectacle" within the context of Western philosophy. The investigations permitted to define conceptual differences and similarities between theory of spectacle by French theorists J. Baudrillard, G. Debord, J. Derrida and doctrines of Plato, F. Nietzsche, K. Marx, M. Heidegger, R. Barthes and others. Kulik O.V. interprets the specific ontological basis of the concept "society of spectacle" as main characteristic of historical-philosophical originality of the theory of spectacularization. Synonymy of "simulation" (J. Baudrillard), "creating of images"( G. Debord), "deconstruction" (J. Derrida) is demonstrated in the thesis. Sphere of usage is a training courses.
