Essay

The character of wave scattering and transformation on a finite periodic sequence of certain complex planar heterogeneities is developed in the work. The basis element of the sequence are placed inside a rectangular waveguide or open transmission line. The interrelations between character of eigenwave propagation for those structures and the parametric dependences of diffraction coefficients are established. The dynamics of scattered fields for the spatial wave-beam at different angles of incidence and structure parameters are investigated. The diffraction theory for both the transmission TE0mq axially-symmetrical corrugated-wall resonator with a piecewise magnetodielectric filling is built up and a sequence of such resonator connected via single mode waveguide sections. The effects of a finite periodic sequence periodicity violation on the scattered and transformed fields are examined.
