Essay

The dissertation is a complex study of historiographic problem of the nomads of the South-East Europe in X and the first half of XIII century. For the first time the pre scientific tradition of the east Slavs in the work is considered as the historiographic source and it has the definite historiographic conceptions. Thanking to this the author managed to demonstrate the extraction of detached scientifis stereotypes of pre revolutionary, soviet ond contemporary historiography about nomads (pechenegi, torki, polovci) starting from the pre scientific period, when the authors of these works were not the professional but the common people with their outlook of correspondent era.
