Essay

Object: intestinal microbiocenosis in patients with diffuse toxic goiter (DTG) and hypothyroidism, and in rats under experimental thyrotoxicosis and hypothyroidism. The work is aimed on carrying out the clinico-pathogenetic basing of using of probiotics (Linex and Biosporin)" in complex treatment of patients with DTG and hypothyroidism. Methods and apparatus: clinical, microbiological, coprological, immunological, histological, biochemical and instrumental; analyzer of immunoenzymatic reactions, radioimmunological analyzer, stationary anaerostat. Theoretical and practical results: on the basis of investigating the species content and population level of cavity and mucous intestinal microflora in DTG and hypothyroidism under experiments and in clinics the prescription of probiotics in complex treatment of these disorders was scientifically based. The new: the clinico-pathogenetic basing of probiotics usage in complex treatment of DTG and hypothyroidism on the basis of studing cavity microbiocenosis and intestinal mucous microflora, indices of immune defense, morphologic state, pro- and antioxidant system in the tissues of the gastrointestinal tract was carried out. The level of approach: results can be used in diagnosis and treatment of the patients with DTG and hypothyroidism, and for training the endocrinologists, gastroenterologists and therapeutists. Field of application: endocrinology, gastroenterology.
