Essay

Chaotic oscillators on BWO, Gunn and IMPATT di- odes. Dependence of autodyne response (modulation in- dex) with reflection index and distance had investigated. Spectral analysis and modeling methods are used. The spectrum modulation index of chaotic oscillators was the basic measured parameter. Power meters, spectrum ana- lyzer and measuring attenuators were used. Increase of autodyne response with a distance in interval 2-30 m is found out, a phenomenology theory is built, it shows modulation index is determined by the ratio of autodyne frequency shift of spectral components to the frequency modulation period. The methods of control by the parame- ters of generators are offered. The method of the modified double spectral processing of random signal is developed. Areas of application are oscillator design and range meas- urements.
