Isayenko V. The surgery correction of mitral valve in infective endocarditis.

Infective endocarditis of the mitral valve (IEMV) is one of the most serious valve disease. There was deflnited, that acute heart insufficient and reinfection - most frequent causes of hospital mortality in surgical treatment of IEMV. Between 1995 and 2004, 364 patients with acute native IEMV underwent surgery: 223 had isolated lesions of mitral valve, 141 had combined lesions of aortic and mitral valves. Repair operations are alternative of mitral valve replacement, there was created original method repair correction, which is the matter in shapes prosthetic ring from inert material and surrounds it autologous pericardium. Elaborated methods of surgical correction IEMV allowed to lower hospital mortality to 5.8% and frequency of reinfection in late period to 4,6%. In late period most of 80% survival patients agrees 1 and 2 functional classes NYHA.
