Urusov V. Ukrainian-Chinese relations (1949–1959)

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the Ukrainian-Chinese relations in the period of 1949-1959. The chronological scopes of the thesis cover the period since the formation of People’s Republic of China and the beginning of active cooperation of the Soviet Ukraine and PRC to 1959, when the process of curtailment of this cooperation begun on Moscow’s initiative. In the thesis the historic facts of the Ukrainian-Chinese relations and cooperation 1949-1959 in political, economic, scienti?c, technical and humanitarian spheres are summarized and the analysis of in?uence of this cooperation on development of the Ukrainian-Chinese relations with formation of independent Ukraine is carried out. The Ukrainian-Chinese relations of 50s years are analysed in comparison with the conditions of the Ukrainian-Chinese relations of 90s years and the prospects for the further development are de?ned .
