The thesis is devoted to the investigation of phase equilibria and crystal structure of Hg3X2Hal2 compounds and new four-component phases in HgX-HgBr2-HgI2 (X - S, Se, Te) systems. Phase diagrams of Hg3X2Br2-Hg3X2I2 systems and isothermal sections of HgX-HgBr2-HgI2 systems at 470 K were built by differential thermal and X-ray phase analyses. The crystal structure of new four-component phases Hg3Te2BrI and commensurately modulated Hg3S2(Br0,67I0,33)2 was determined. The crystal structure of b-Hg3S2Br2, Hg3Se2Br2, Hg3Se2I2, Hg3Te2I2 was accertained and completely solved. The information about crystal structures of Hg3X2Hal2 was systematized and the classification of thewe structures is given. This classification is based on the values of ratio of constituent anions radii and space organization of [XHg3] pyramids.
