The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical and empirical research of social - psychological determinants of using non-standard lexics by youth in the communicative behavior. Connection between the main functions of using non-standard speech constructs with status, self-appreciation, and belonging to the giving social group have been determined in the dissertation. Results of this research work gave a chance to affirm that culture of speech as a social - psychological phenomena is a display of public life of people, defines the norms of communicative behavior through the social roles and level of education, speech competention. The main psychological functions and peculiarities of using non-standard speech constructs in the communicative behavior of youth (students, pupils) have been defined in this research work.
