Essay

The work given is based on study of clinical, roentgenological, sonographic and morphological changes of 93 patients with eosinophilic granuloma of bones. On the basis of diagnostic data analysis it has been ascertained that timely and correct diagnostics of solitary eosinophilic granuloma of bones is possible only on the assumption of complex approach to diagnostics of the given disease. Having compared efficiency of conservative and operative methods of treatment of solitary forms of eosinophilic granuloma of bones it is possible to assert that the choice of treatment methods depends on localization of the process. In case of localization in the center of vertebral column, the treatment consists in conservative rehabilitation on the same principle as simple compression spine fractures of children. In case of affection of cortical and flat bones it is necessary to apply intraosseous resection of the pathological centre being the most drastic and, at the same time, organoprotective operation taking into consideration the lacunary type of bone affection with proliferative process. The use of hydroxylapathit saturated with prednisolone as a medication that is applied for treating of Langergans's cell hystiocytosis not only plays the role of the bones defect plastics but provides the effect of local arrest of proliferative process preventing desease relapse as well. The carried out diagnostic – therapeutic measures shortened the period of treatment 3,5 times as much, which, in our opinion, has dramatically increased results treatment (94%) and life-quality of the child affected with the disease.
