Essay

The thesis is devoted to the resarch of one of the major phonomena of music history and concert practice, namely, role of organ in music culture of Europe in XIX and the beginning of XX centuries. Modern musicology analysed the state of the study of the phenomenon of organ music in the context of European musical culture. New estimative approach for panoramic review of European organ culture was created European organ culture is regarded on the whole as a phenomenon creation and possesses specific features and specific intonation complex. The definition of organ concert concept as a phenomenon was brought to light; it evolved from separate cases to the formed system of methods of musical expressiveness and became a new music aesthetic category. The evolution of organ concert concept was traced and argued from the original stage to the final formation, the further ways of its development in modern organ music are marked as well.
