Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to the examination of the I.Krypiakevych's course of life, his scientific legacy and formation as the scientist. Particularly attention was paid to archeographical (editional and researching) and source study activity of scientist as to main direction of the I.Krypiakevych's creative works. The theoretical thesis deals with Krypiakevych's contribution to elaboration of problems of theoretical and practical source study, working out the ways and methods of sources analyses, their critique and appreciation. I.Krypiakevych was the author of works by historiography, sphragistics, the study of primary sources, numismatics, historical geography and others. In the investigation was defined place of Krypiakevych in Ukrainian historiography process.
