Victoria V. NATO in the system of relationship between the Russian Federation and the United States of America (1990-s - beginning of XXI c.).

The thesis is dedicated to studying NATO's role and place in the system of Russian-American relations in the context of making the new European security system. Political aspects of the development of situation in the field of European space security during the 1990-2000-ies in respect to interests of the USA and Russia are described. The prerequisites, reasons and sources of the North Atlantic alliance's transformation during the 90-ies are determined that were reflected on the characteristic of organization owing to the military-political defensive alliance has got features of the collective security organization. The basic moments of the development of proper European security system during the indicated period are specified, the positions of world leaders and their interests in the development of security constituent of the common European space.
