Holiy O. Working out the process and the tillage tool with mechanical selective action of removal of plant shoots

The thesis is dedicated to the problems of theoretical and experimental investigation of the process of mechanical selectance of plant shoots removal, making a tillage tool endowed with such effect and grounding its parameters and operating conditions. The application of worked out tillage tool allows to increase the productivity and quality of work while looking after shoots of sugar-beets and other agricultural crops, to imrove mechanical weed control and to reduce chemical load upon environment. For the first time a mechanism performs a sanitary part at looking after plant shoots - it removes sore and injured by vermins beet-root shoots. A diagram of interaction of spring time with containing beet and weed shoots soil has been worked out. Mathematical models of spring tine motion in soil and of tine point displacement from bending at load application have been worked out. Conditions of spring-tined harrow investigation gave an opportunity to reveal new regularities of the process. The results of investigation and development were implemented in constraction of a harrow with spring tines endowed with an effect of selectivity at plant shoots removal. The harrow have been constructed in common with Sugar-beet Institute of Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Ukrain and is manufactured by Ukrainian industry.
