Essay

Zeolite catalyst and reaction of alkylation of isobutane with butenes. Optimization of acidic spectrum of zeolite catalysts of alkylation of isobutane with butenes and terms of motion of reaction for the improvement of indexes of process. Ionic exchange, heat treatment, low temperature absorption of nitrogen, ІR-spectroscopy. Synthesis conditions of the effective solid alkylation catalyst of optimal acidity have been found - the policationdecationized form of zeolite X whose IR-spectrum includes adsorption bands at 3540 and 3610 cm-1 only without usual band at 3650 cm-1. Alkylation supersensitivity to alkylate, circulating with isobutane, under flow-circulating condition has been observed. Concentration oscillations of the main and by-products have been revealed and treated. First the reaction has been realized under vacuum. Anomalous distribution of the reaction products has been found: the absence of 2,2,4-trimethylpentane and high dimethylhexane content. Optimization of the catalyst acidity and reaction conditions permit to prolong considerably the effective catalyst lifetime. Sphere of use - petrochemistry.
