Essay

It was proved that new derivative of azole - substance 2264 prevents development of insulin resistance (without basal hyperglycemia) and ameliorates the disturbances of metabolic syndrome in rats. Treatment with 2264 prevents development insulin resistance (with basal hyperglycemia) in rats with relative insulin insufficiency and in rabbits with absolute insulin insufficiency. The protective effect of substance 2264 on development of insulin resistance with hyperinsulinemia, relative and absolute insulin insufficiency justifies the perspectivity of 2264 for future trials as potential pharmacological agent for the increasing insulin sensitivity in states of impairment glucose tolerance and diabetes mellitus Type 2 in the condition of different functional impairment pancreatic beta cells.
