Trygubenko G. Role of the Militia in Overcoming Legal Nihilism in Ukraine

This thesis is dedicated to the theoretical and legal problems of militia's role in fighting legal nihilism in Ukraine. Main theoretical and methodological approaches for understanding the notion and content of the legal nihilism are analyzed and systematized. The historical genesis of the legal nihilism formation in Ukraine is examined. Thus the main factors of its existence and spreading in Ukraine are determined. Forms of the legal nihilism manifestation in Ukraine and main steps for its fighting are determined, revealed and analyzed. The priority directions of the militia for overcoming the legal nihilism are found and analyzed. To these main directions are reffered the work for strengthening legality and the law and the order, effective protection and defense of civic rights and liberties, high level preventive activity and activity as for law education. A number of suggestions for improving these activities are made.
