Essay

The work is devoted to study of the quantity and functional activity of NK and NKT cells from 53 colorectal cancer patients depending to proliferative activity and stage of differentiation of tumor cells. It was established that cytotoxic activity of peripheral blood lymphocytes against K562 cell line was associated with quantity of NK cells with phenotype CD3-CD56+CD16+, аnd against autologic cancer cells with quantity of NKT cells with phenotype CD3+CD56+CD16+. Negative correlation between cytotoxic activity and proliferative activity of tumor cells; inhibited action of autologic serum that depended on tumor size, differentiation of tumor cells and CEA concentration were revealed. The recovery of cytotoxic activity of peripheral blood lymphocytes after 6 months after operation was associated with unrelapsed two-years course of disease. This parameter may be used as prognostic factor for colon cancer patients.
