Poukh A. Ethnic origin and formation of Ukrainian Cossacks

Thesis is devoted to actual problem of the origin and early history of Ukrainian Cossacks, which has been a subject of researchers attention for more than one century, is still under discussion due to the absence of proper basis of sources. In thesis the analysis of scientific works of Ukrainian and foreign historiography from XVI till XXI centuries is given on the issues of origin and shaping of Ukrainian Cossaks. Candidate for a degree used last scientific data of overlapping historic sciences such as archeology, antropology, ethnography, linguistic. In Thesis the attempt of historiographic analysis of scientific heritage of researches of early Cossacks history, of determining the essence and probability of origin theories of Cossacks, their accordance of historic reality with usage of last scientific research has been made.
