Renskyy M. Novel transformation of 1,2,4-thiadiazol-5(2H)-imines and their salts into derivatives of another azaheterocycles

The dissertation is dedicated to study of novel transformations of 1,2,4-thiadiazol-5(2H)-imines and their salts. It was shown that these available compounds by means of simple reactions transform into new 1,2,4-thiadiazolidine, 4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-thiadiazole, 2,3-dihydro-1,3-thiazole, imidazole, 2H-1,3,5-thiadiazine and benzo[1,3]thiazole derivatives. The most important were found reactions of 1,2,4-thiadiazol-5(2H)-imines and their salts with an active methylene group at N2 centre which under treatment of basic reagents undergo recylizations to give firstly 6-amino-2H-1,3,5-thiadiazine and secondly imidazole derivatives. Obtained 2,3-dihydro-1,3-thiazole derivatives bearing an amino group and a cyano group were shown to be of interest in preparative respect because they are suitable to further heterocyclizations leading to thiazolo[4,5-b]pyridine, thiazolo[4,5-b]pyrimidine derivatives and another systems.
