Research is devoted to Ahmad Shawqi and Hafiz Ibrahim works in a context of Egyptian poetry renewal at the end of ХІХ - beginning ХХ centuries. The study of regularities, adopting features and transformation of classical Arabic poetics traditions, functional and social-psychological pragmatics of the texts gives the basis to assert that the authors skillfully using property of traditional poetics embody vital and actual for their time principals like idea of freedom, social and gender subjects, pharaonism problematic as political motion.
