Nastasyak I. Establishing control in Halychyna and Bukovyna as parts of Austria (1772-1848).

The thesis provides the research of the problems of establishing control in Halychyna and Bukovyna as parts of Austria (1772-1848) basing on the analysis of scientific literature and archival documents. The preconditions and the circumstances for establishing The Kingdom of Halychyna and Lodomeriya are analyzed. The place and role of the suprime and local authorities of Halychyna in Austrian state-legal system is researched. Their power, structure and the way of performance is exposed. Much attention is given to the activity of deputies of Halychyna and Bukovyna in Austrian Parliament. It is proved that the greatest achievements of revolution in 1848 in Halychyna and Bukovyna were the cancellation of villagers' compulsory service and the raise of national liberation movements of Polish and Ukrainian peoples.
