Datsun Y. Improving the technology of locomotives and diesel-trains warm up on the basis of the fuzzy logic methods

The thesis covers the topics of improving the technology of locomotives and diesel-trains warm up on the basis of the fuzzy logic methods. The work gives analysis of the diesel fuel consumption for warming up the locomotives and diesel-trains at the Railways of Ukraine. The existing systems and technologies of warming up locomotives and diesel-trains have been analyzed. Their classification has been offered. For decreasing the fuel consumption for warming up and for improving the operational reliability of the power-plant, the optimum technology of warming up has been determined, which is based on the principle of maintaining the constant water temperature by regulating the power of the warming up element. For realization of the optimum technology of locomotives and diesel-trains warming-up a linguistic model has been worked out for managing the process of their warming up.
