Research of position of the Russian leading circles and public opinion concerning English-Boer war (1899-1902) has been fulfilled in the present thesis. The reasons of the South African crisis development were identified; the attempts of setting diplomatic relations between Russian Empire and South African republics were investigated. Position of the Russian official circles concerning the mentioned events in South Africa was uncovered, and the rivalry between Russia and England concerning English-Boer war was examined. The attitude of public opinion towards events in South Africa.
