This dissertation focuses on the study of English TV advertising discourse prosodу conditioned by its communicative and pragmatic dominant, genre peculiarities, and the addresser-addressee interaction specificity in the discourse manifestation. It was determined that the prosodic organization of English TV advertising discourse as a part of its communicative strategy reflects the correlation between the suprasegmental level units of the advertisement whose effectiveness is assured by the prosodic parameters harmonization. It was experimentally established that the integration of tonal, temporal, and dynamic subsystems in English TV advertising discourse performs a compensatory function, as in every concrete occurrence a certain prosodic parameter becomes the leading one in TV advertisement actualisation.
