Essay

The dissertation is devoted to increase in efficiency of therapy of hypoxic injury of the cardiovascular system in newborns by means of metabolic therapy with carnitin on the basis of study of endothelium functional state and endo-thelium-dependent factors activity. Development of endo-thelial dysfunction was established. It manifested by de-crease in nitric oxide synthesis and increase in endothelin-1 activity. Dependence of NO levels on nature of hypoxic influence was revealed. It was established that under the action of hypoxic factor activation of endothelium occurs with expression of cellular adhesion molecules – E-selectin on its surface. Elevation of von Willebrand factor levels, which is marker of endothelium injury, was discovered. Platelet dysfunction was registered. Efficacy of carnitin application was shown that was accompanied by reliable decrease in clinical-instrumental signs of hypoxic injury of the cardiovascular system and by increase in endothelium-dependent vasodilatation.
