Essay

The thesis deals with the substantiation of parameters of implosionproof dam for suppressing the shock air waves in the process of underground extraction of ore. As a result of theoretical, laboratory research, and release testing parame-ters of implosionproof dam have been substantiated and cer-tain recommended practices of the implosionproof dam ap-plication in mining and geological conditions have been de-veloped. The implosionproof dam has been put into operation at Closed Joint-Stock Company ‘Zaporozhskiy Iron-Ore In-dustrial Plant’ (‘Zaporozhskiy zhelezorudnyi kombinat’). The economic benefit has made 90.000 grn.
