Essay

The thesis deals with complex studies by Polish researchers of important issues of Ukrainian history, beginning from the ancient up to the modern period. The Polish researchers of the end of the ХІХ th cent. and the beginning of the ХХ th cent. paid special attention to the political events of the XIV-XVII cent. The proposed thesis analyses the development of Polish historical science in the end of the ХІХ - beginning of the XX cent., investigates the effect of positivism crisis on Polish historiography and the origin of Neo-Romantical outlook; political situation on Polish territory and development of Polish national movement.
