The process of heat exchange for a parallel and a counter flow is investigated with taking into consideration working space losses to environment. The conditions of a heat transfer in continuous furnaces preheating zones are specialized. The necessary conditions of heat generation and heat transfer in heating zones of continuous and ring furnaces are established providing realization of the preset schedule of metal heating. The design procedure of continuous counter flow furnace thermal work with distributed fuel feed is offered. It is used for the development of energy saving heating technologies in a ring furnace for a rolling mill rthytmical or unrthytmical work. The experimental researches results were used for the design procedure developing. Then study of heat-mass exchange was made for parallel and counter flow furnaces of the pipe hot-dip galvanizing plant. The untraditional parallel-counter flow scheme of furnace and the energy saving technology of a fluxed pipe heating before a pipe hot-dip galvanizing is developed.
