Essay

The subject of the research work is impurity ions transport in magnetically confined fusion plasma in stellarators. The aim of investigation is to study the impurity behavior in stochastic layers. The spreading phenomenon of the drift surface is considered and the expressions for the stochastic diffusion coefficients and for the guiding center fluxes in the poloidal and toroidal direction are derived. By means of the analytical treatment of the drift kinetic equation the expression for the local guiding center distribution function is derived for the magnetic field model, which includes the isolated magnetic island chain. The new statistical transport code was developed.
